Crown Carbide Pro Roughing Tip Turning Tool is a high-performance replaceable tip turning tool designed for both heavy material removal and delicate cuts. Featuring a 15mm square cutting tip with a slight radius, this tool excels at working with all types of woods as well as acrylic, polyester, and resin materials. Unlike traditional turning tools that require honing, the Carbide Pro tools are ready to use right out of the box, thanks to their high-grade USA-made solid tungsten carbide cutters. These cutters are crafted from premium Nano Particle Carbide and hardened to an impressive 93 HRC, ensuring they maintain an ultra-sharp edge for a long time. When the tip dulls, simply rotate it to a fresh edge and continue working. The tool comes with a 17-inch black stained ash handle and a robust 8-1/2-inch long by 0.60-inch wide chrome vanadium steel blade. This combination provides a balanced heft that reduces vibration and improves control on the rest. Designed to work flat and level at or just below center, the blade edges are slightly rounded to allow for controlled shear cuts when needed. The overall length of the tool is approximately 22-1/2 inches. Included with the tool are the carbide cutting tip and screw, a hex wrench, and two extra mounting screws.
