Easy Wood Tools Ci4 Easy Detailer Mid-Size - Handled is designed with a reduced angle and long cutting edges that make the tool less aggressive when plunged into the workpiece. This design allows the Detailer to perform almost as if a bevel is being rubbed, providing a user-friendly experience while ensuring the trailing long cutting edge will not be drawn into the wood. Users should avoid plunging the tool too deeply so that both sides of the cutter engage excessively, which could place too much force on the setup. This versatile Detailer delivers extraordinary results on spindle and end grain work with most domestic woods. When working with exotic woods, extra care is recommended, and raising the handle is generally preferred. The Detailer is ideal for turning finials, coves, beads, detail grooves, bowl tenons, dovetail cuts for chuck jaws both inside and out, undercutting, and other detail cuts where the cutter physically fits. The Mid-size Detailer features a hard maple handle with a natural finish measuring about 16 inches long, paired with a 3/8-inch wide by 7-inch long stainless steel blade, making the overall tool length approximately 23 inches.
