Oneway Thread-Lok Ferrule, 1/2 in. is a cleverly engineered machined aluminum ferrule designed by Oneway to let you customize your own turning tools using your personal tool handle designs. This ferrule features an internal threaded taper that screws onto the matching taper of a wooden tool handle, which must have a hole drilled in its center to accept the tool and allow you to adjust the "stick out" length. Locking screws in the ferrule secure the tool to the handle, and by adjusting the stick out length, you can achieve the perfect balance for easier use and better control. If the ferrule ever loosens, simply twist it further onto the taper to lock it securely in place again. These ferrules also enable the use of double-ended gouges in wooden handles. The Thread-Lok ferrules come in four sizes—1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and 5/8"—with each size matching the tool blade diameter it accepts. For added convenience, metal template patterns for each size are available separately, allowing you to quickly and accurately turn matching tapers on tool handles to fit the Thread-Lok ferrules.
