This versatile primer works seamlessly with Rust-Oleum Stops Rust brand finishes, providing a reliable base for your projects. It is important to note that this primer is not compatible with top coats containing strong solvents, such as automotive finishes. The white primer offers excellent coverage, approximately 18 to 25 square feet per can, and dries to the touch within 2 to 4 hours. It becomes handleable in 5 to 9 hours and can be recoated after 24 hours. For best results, thin with no more than half a pint of paint thinner per gallon and clean tools with paint thinner or mineral spirits.
