This profile is crafted from anodized aluminum and features a trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg that securely embeds into the mortar bond coat beneath the tile. The 87° sloped vertical wall efficiently transfers point loads to the substrate and surface covering, safeguarding tile edges from damage. Additionally, the profile includes a 5° sloped top flange and fillet at the anchoring leg and vertical section interface, which reduces stress on the tile and enhances edge protection. For sizes larger than 1/4" (6 mm), it incorporates an integrated joint spacer to create a defined joint cavity between the tile and the profile. The anchoring leg is also available with a special radius perforation option to allow for curved installations.
