Schluter Schiene 3/8 in. Satin Aluminum L Channel (Anodized Aluminum)

Schluter Schiene 3/8 in. Satin Aluminum L Channel (Anodized Aluminum)

Schluter Schiene 3/8 in. Satin Aluminum L Channel (Anodized Aluminum) is expertly designed to provide durable edging for tile coverings, making it ideal for protecting tile edges where they meet carpet, at expansion joints, or as a decorative stair edging. This profile is crafted from anodized aluminum and features a trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg that securely embeds in the mortar bond coat beneath the tile. The 87° sloped vertical wall section effectively transfers point loads to the substrate and surface covering, ensuring tile edges remain protected from damage. With a 5° sloped top flange and fillet at the anchoring leg and vertical section interface, this channel reduces stress on tiles and enhances edge protection. For sizes larger than 1/4" (6 mm), an integrated joint spacer creates a defined joint cavity between the tile and the profile. Additionally, the anchoring leg is available with a special radius perforation "R," allowing the profile to be used for curved applications. The length of this profile is 8 feet 2 1/2 inches, offering a versatile solution for various tiling projects. Model Number:
