ZAR Gloss Interior Water Base Polyurethane, Gallon is a nonyellowing, environmentally safe clear wood finish designed to protect and enhance the beauty of cabinets, furniture, wall paneling, woodwork, and moderately used floors. This water-based polyurethane dries crystal clear, making it an excellent choice for use over light-colored wood or white stains. Aqua ZAR complies with all environmental standards for low solvent vapor emissions, ensuring a safer application experience. It is intended for use on properly prepared new wood surfaces, with complete removal of any wax, lacquer, shellac, or paint from old surfaces prior to finishing. Avoid using steel wool during preparation. For staining, apply a quality oil-based or water-based stain before finishing. Application should be done with a clean synthetic fiber or foam brush, lamb’s wool applicator, or pad—rollers are not recommended. Follow all label directions, especially when applying to floors, and allow 24 hours to dry. For heavily used floors, ZAR original polyurethane or ultra polyurethane is recommended. Coverage is approximately 400 to 425 square feet per gallon. The finish dries to the touch in 30 minutes, with three coats recommended and a two-hour wait before recoating.
