Oneway Bowl Steady Rest

Oneway Bowl Steady Rest is specially designed to meet the unique demands of bowl turning, offering a reliable solution for spindle turners who need to control vibration and work with flexible materials. Unlike traditional spindle steady rests, this product is tailored for bowls and platters, allowing for safer and more precise turning. Easy to mount on most lathes at any time, it uses almost no swing and effectively dampens vibration, enabling you to use a wider variety of cuts and achieve a superior finish. The Bowl Steady Rest also enhances safety by eliminating the need to support the bowl with your fingers, reducing the risk of injury from catches. Ideal for thinner bowls, it includes a tension arm assembly, two wheels, a 1-1/4" post, a slotted base, and a hardware package. Please note that a clamp block, sold separately, is required to attach the Bowl Steady Rest to your lathe, with the appropriate size determined by the gap between your lathe’s bedways. Additionally, you can convert the Bowl Steady into a spindle steady by purchasing the Spindle Steady Head Assembly and repositioning the post to the spare holes on the base for versatile use.
