Tormek SVM-00 Small Knife Holder Jig is specially designed to handle very small knife blades that have traditionally been difficult to sharpen. When used together with the Tormek SVM-45 Knife Jig (sold separately), it allows you to sharpen knives of various shapes used for whittling, chip carving, and detailed work. This jig even enables perfect control when sharpening folding pocket knives. Typically, these types of knives would require free-hand sharpening, which makes it challenging to maintain a consistent shape and nearly impossible to control the edge angle precisely. The SVM-00 holder secures just the knife handle, allowing you to sharpen blades of virtually any size.
The Holder Jig includes a Guide Bar, a Handle Grip, and an Adjustable Clamp, with the knife handle fastened securely by a knob. It is designed to hold the knife firmly without damaging the handle. The Guide Bar mounts in the jaws of the Tormek Knife Jig SVM-45, and sharpening is performed using the same reliable technique. You can set the exact edge angle by adjusting the Adjustable Stop or using the Micro Adjust feature on the Universal Support. This innovative tool is patent pending and made in Sweden.
